Handmade Thank You Notes

I made some homemade collaged thank you notes for some of my family members who helped make this past birthday special.

I wanted each card to be unique and have a different style/aesthetic to them.  Collages were made from assorted magazines.

Plus, who doesn’t love snail mail? I’m a huge proponent of actually hand-writing thank you notes.  It goes a lot farther than you might think. Send a thank you note this holiday season.  It won;t go unnoticed.

I updated my website to include some photos of the invitation (and program booklet cover) for the Drexel University Graphic Design Senior Show.

I was asked by the Graphic Design faculty to design the materials for the Graphic Design 2012 Senior Show. This included: a self-mailing invitation, various web graphics, program booklet cover, assorted day of event posters, directional signage, and name plates. Using found scraps of screen prints, I created a collage in my sketchbook that I then scanned into the computer and dissected, reassembled, and manipulated. I wanted the look and feel of all of the materials to showcase the power of color and design more image-based work than typographic (as seen in previous years’ invitations.)

Collages | Order + Chaos

I did these two collages for an Illustration course I took during Winter Term. These were in-class exercises that i re-discovered while organizing my projects from this past year. For the ‘Order’ collage, I wanted to keep it sparse, almost entirely monochromatic, and bordering on minimalistic. With 'Chaos’ I wanted to really explore how chaotic 11"x14" could get. I think I accomplished that through experimental typography, surreal imagery, and composition.
